A Winter Park company wants to build an indoor rock-climbing gym in Apopka. Be Climbing Inc. proposed a 30,000-square-foot location on Clarcona Road, according to city documents. The company owns 7 forrest acres to the north of State Road 414 where it wants to build the project. Why this matters: New construction projects create opportunities for local contractors, suppliers and vendors, and generate new jobs once completed. According to the company's website, it has a goal to have feature lead and top rope walls up to 65 feet in height, as well as speed climbing and bouldering walls.
